Moreover, Allah (SWT) says, "The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed [of grain] that sprouts seven ears; in every ear is a hundred grains. Smiling at someone who needs it, offering comfort through your presence, or listening to someone in distress—all of these are forms of charity.
  • Teaching Knowledge: Knowledge is one of the most precious gifts we can give. The Prophet (PBUH) said, "When a man dies, his deeds come to an end except for three things: Sadaqah Jariyah (continuous charity); knowledge which is beneficial; or a virtuous descendant who prays for him" (Riyad as-Salihin 949). Sharing beneficial knowledge is an act of charity that has an everlasting impact.
  • Protecting the Environment: Planting a tree or taking care of animals is also a form of charity. The Prophet (PBUH) said, "If a Muslim plants a tree or sows seeds, and then a bird, or a person, or an animal eats from it, it is regarded as a charitable gift (Sadaqah) for him" (Sahih al-Bukhari, Hadith 2320). Your efforts towards preserving the environment benefit not just you but also future generations.
  • Forgiveness: Letting go of a grudge and forgiving someone who has wronged you is a profound form of charity. It creates peace within our hearts and promotes harmony within our communities.

The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said:

“Whoever removes a hardship among the hardships of this world for a believer, Allah will remove a hardship from him among the hardships of the Day of Judgment.”
مَنْ نَفَّسَ عَنْ مُؤْمِنٍ كُرْبَةً مِنْ كُرَبِ الدُّنْيَا نَفَّسَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ كُرْبَةً مِنْ كُرَبِ يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ

(Sahih Muslim, Hadith 2699)
